In order to escape the crushing poverty of her mother’s home, Mimi ventures out to live with her glamorous yet emotionally combustible sister. Set in Texas during the 1940s, Fur asks the question: where is the line between love and suffocation?
 
Charlotte Miller Playwright
Charlotte is a Brooklyn-based playwright and actor and co-founder of Longstocking Productions. She has lived here since 2001 when she moved from her native Texas to attend the American Academy of Dramatic arts. She has authored several plays including Bunny & Honey, Joan’s Boutique, and A Moment of Silence for the Living (which premiered this spring in Longstocking Productions’ Little Monsters series). Charlotte has studied playwriting with Brett C. Leonard and Lucy Thurber.
 
Jason Blaine “Gene”
Jason, a Kentucky native, is excited to be working with Longstocking Productions in Fur. Recent theatre credits include Haunted House (Audax Theatre Group) and It Cannot Be Called Our Mother But Our Graves (Theatre of a Two-Headed Calf). Notable film credits include This is a Story About Ted and Alice (Dir. Teressa Tunney, Cannes Selection) and The Stranger (Dir. Christopher Radcliff). Charles Goforth Director
Charles is a director and actor based in New York City. Directing Credits include Off B'way: THE FLAME KEEPER, by Amos Kamil at the 47th Street Theater, and DUTCH HEART OF MAN by Robert Glaudini at The Public. Recent roles include JFK in LITTLE EAGLES with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Cassius in JULIUS CAESAR at Aquila Theater Company, and Chris in ALL MY SONS, at the Schwartz Performing Arts Center at Cornell University. Charles is a recipient of The Drama League Fellowship, and is a member of LAByrinth Theater Company.
 
Naomi Kline Assistant Director
Is a graduate of the New School film program and a co-founder of Longstocking Productions.
Since establishing herself as an actor on television and film, Naomi has moved her focus to directing.  She directed A Moment of Silence for the Living (Longstocking Productions) and her short films include: G’hal, God & Fashion, and Second Place = First Loser.
 
Erin Wilhelmi “Mimi”
Erin received her BFA from the University of Evansville. New York credits include Likeness by David Caudle at the Manhattan Theatre Source, readings at places such as Primary Stages, The Bridge Company, the home of Julia Miles, Barrow Group, and several Columbia Grad and NYU Student Films. Melissa A. Nathan Stage Manager
Melissa is a genuine New Yorker & proud of it!  She has her BA in Theatre from Florida Atlantic University & has been stage managing for over 10 years.  Some of her favorite credits include Twelfth Night, Every Xmas Story Ever Told, and The Imaginary Invalid (all at the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre); China: The Whole Enchilada (FringeNYC); Show Choir! Andrew Langton “Frank”
Andy is happily surprised to find himself onstage in Fur. Most recently, he played Don in To Love and To Cherish (“Langton is a blast of TNT...”, Backstage) and last summer, he played Andrew in Foreclosure at the Samuel French OOB Short Play Festival.  Earlier this year, he was Tom in Change at ATA and Jones in We All Fall Down at the 45th Street Theatre. Film credits include Frank Richie in The Invisible Life of Thomas Lynch (Winner, best film CMJ Film Festival, 2009) and Dr. Lou Gafnee in Vent (in post-production.)  Many thanks to Longstocking Productions, to Charles, and to the cast and crew of Fur for mightily intense little burn!  Nice to meet you!
